It is used in adults for the relief of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. In conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, excess production of prostaglandins by your body can lead to pain and inflammation. Celebrex 100mg Tablet works by decreasing the production of prostaglandins, effectively reducing pain and inflammation.
Do not take Celebrex 100mg Tablet if you are allergic to Celebrex 100mg Tablet or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you had reactions to sulfonamide medicines, suffer from ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or experienced adverse reactions to NSAID medications like aspirin.
Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor because it is recommended to not take this medicine if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding. The U. S. Food and Drug Administration says that its arthritis drug Celebrex “should be considered as a first-line treatment for osteoarthritis” and has been approved for use in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
The drug is in the same class as the older painkilling drug naproxen, which is used to reduce the number of ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
“We are evaluating Celebrex’s ability to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and all cardiovascular events in patients who have had heart attacks or strokes in the past year,” FDA chairman Tommy Thompson told CBS News.
“We also have concerns that Celebrex is not being used in patients who have had stomach ulcers or who have had ulcers with an NSAID like ibuprofen,” he said.
“We don’t have the data to back up that,” he added.
When asked why the drug was so widely prescribed, Thompson said it has not yet been approved as a treatment for osteoarthritis.
“We don’t know if it is approved or not,” he said.
The FDA is investigating whether Celebrex, which has a black box warning, can be prescribed for people with heart failure and other conditions.
The agency said it did not have any information on a specific form of Celebrex approved for that use. It is not known how many people may benefit from taking the drug, although the agency has not yet said how many people in the study had a heart attack or stroke.
The FDA is working with a third-party, which has to conduct a study to determine how many people would benefit from taking the drug. The agency has not announced the results of that study.
The FDA has already approved the drug to treat osteoarthritis, which is the most common form of arthritis. That drug is also used to reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events in patients with heart failure.

The FDA has approved Celebrex to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
“We are reviewing the safety and efficacy of Celebrex to determine if the medication is safe and effective for the individual patient,” said Michael E. Smith, a professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Harvard Medical School.
Smith said he expects to hear from Celebrex’s manufacturer, Merck, to ask for more details on the study. Merck did not respond to a request for comment.
In addition, the FDA is working to develop new treatments for pain and arthritis, including Celebrex. Celebrex is not currently available for use in the U.
